Who's an EMT?!?!

I AM!!!

That's right folks, I'm certified! I passed the test!

I PASSED AND I DID IT!!!

I did it on my own, with loads of support of course, but all in all I did it.

Me.

Mrs. Never Finish Anything ...Mrs. Too Busy Screwing Up ....Mrs. Easiest Way Out

Well by golly now you can call me Mrs. EMT!
I'm so proud of myself. I seriously can't get over the feeling of acomplishment I have. I can't believe I set out to do something, and busted my arse to actually do it! Blood Sweat and Tears for real!

YAY!!!!

I DID IT!!!!!

grumble

gosh I'm irritated today. Not really feelin' like dealing with anyone or anything for that matter, but the sudden two days off in a row could be to blame I suppose. I really get edgy when my routine is broken and I have to fend for myself.

The good new is I'm oficially a volunteer for Sarasota County! The Fire department is letting me on as -EMS only- even though my test is still pending. I test next week so I'll have extra time to get my paper work just right. Then I'll get a real life county name badge, uniform and ....drum roll please....

A STICKER FOR MY TRUCK!

I want that sticker so bad I could pee.

Anyway I'm not completely ditching the idea of going to fire school. But I am back-burner-ing it a bit. My goal now is to work as a volunteer EMT for a while and rack up some experience then move further south to a county where you can be a paramedic without being a fire fighter.

So the way I figure it ....I should be able to think employment as an EMT within this year.....then I can focus on paramedic school.

I think I'm actually getting excited again. I had nodded off through the holidays. Nothing was very interesting as far as this stuff goes.

unexpected days off

Kiddo's not feeling well today. I know she's well enough to go to school, but she gave the extra effort of asking nicely if she could stay home and ...well....she does have a stuffy nose and these big blue eyes that sealed the deal for me.

The only problem is I'll be missing out on a full days tips. Today was one of my double shifts and I really hate to give it up...."hate" being used lightly of course, I don't at all mind not being able to go to work, but I do get a bit uncomfy at the thought of being down about 100 bucks.

In the end I'm sure it's better this way. I'll get some odds and ends done and not want to stuff cooked hamburger down anyones neck and watch them drown in their ice tea.....yeah maybe this day off is good for everyone.
